If you watched closely enough, you would see at one point, Sophie almost fell into the mud puddle on the beach. She DID, actually, later on when the camera was not rolling. If it wasn't for that fall, the girls wouldn't have wanted to leave the beach.
Yes, Mom did bring clothes for both girls to change, towels to wrap, wipes to clean, tissues to dry the tears, and a relaxed attitude and plenty of patience. Other than that, girls knew where to find that shoulder strong enough to lean on.
